I’ve got the exact same problem with mine- can you be more specific about where that button is? I took the lid and the back panel off, but I couldn’t see anything I could identify as the thermostat.

    Thanks

on the aluminium heater housing there you will find the t/stats. one will have a small vertical plastic “peg” if you press it it should reset the t/stat..the t/stat will have two wires going to it. HOPE THE POWER IS OFF .

I have the same problem. The switch on the left pops up often. I think this is an overtemp switch which trips at a certain temperture and then switches current off to the heater.

Is the switch most likely at fault or is the temperature going over the max allowed value and there is a fault elsewhere with the machine. Does anybody have any ideas as regards part numbers etc. for the switch if this is at fault?
    Thanks.

Re: Hoover HSWD146 dryer not working.

The switch is doing it’s job – cutting out when the temperature becomes unsafe.

Check the condenser housing and blower motor fan for fluff build up, check that the condenser valve is allowing water to flow into the condenser housing.

    Power off, of course.
