thanks rouge element is that the clip that holds magnet on the shaft of the motor do the come loose would that cause it to skip right to the end of the program just filling breifly then pumping then spinning breifly as if the whol program is speeded up and stopping at the end .fasetester 😕

Check the magnet is not loose as some times the magnet unscrews and dosn’t always show itself buy pushing tacho cover off.. this will cause symptoms you describe and I have had a few do this..

Worth a try before anything else as elecronics sense the speed is wrong and pushes it through the program.. main indicator is that the first time it fills on wash the motor trys to go into spin speed instead of wash speed then impulses through the rest of the program..

Other than that I would check out tacho circuits for o/c or earth fault

thanks mick if there was an earth fault would the machine not trip out the circuit breaker what would be the most likely thng to cause a leakage heater or motor ect thanks comptonappliances how do test the ntc and where is it situated on this machine thanks for all your replys

ntc in back by the heater check resistance i.e not down to earth/ and also measure resistance if 0 it is short circuit would normally be abot 500 ohms depending on temperature
