I want to replace an old Zanussi ZFK 47/52RF fridge freezer. Problem is it has fridge capacity of gross 132 litres and freezer capacity of gross 131 litres. I need a larger fridge, but they all seem to have smaller freezer sections which won’t do. Any suggestions to suitable make. I’m looking for the usual features – frost free, energy efficient, white, etc. No depth for American style, but otherwise good height and width.

Take a look at the Hotpoint and Bosch websites, they both supply fridge freezers with good size fridges and a reasonably sized freezer. If you can post up some maximum physical sizes, i`ll have a look on Tuesday when I am back in the shop.

I’ve been looking at Hotpoint and there seem to be good deals on FFP187B which has a size of H1850 W600 D650 which suit, although the freezer section is still slightly smaller than existing Zanussi.
I like Bosch too, most other kitchen appliances I have are this make because of reliability, but haven’t found a good size in freezer section yet.
As for size, height is no problem, width is also variable, although I think 650 is wide enough. Depth has to be restricted to around 650 to stop it encroaching too far into room.
Any info would be welcome. Would prefer to stay under £400, but could pay more for ideal.

I`ve checked through the A-Z of the popular brands and it looks like 4.0 cu ft is about as big as it gets. There a couple around with about an extra third of a cubic foot in the freezer but the price gets silly. The Hotpoint FFP187 would be a good buy.
