    Hi

Our Hitachi CV-810 (1400W, blue color) Vac Cleaner suddenly stopped during operation, today. I opened the motor compartment and found that its Fuse (250V, 10Amp) is blown away. The fuse has been secured in a small transparent sealed rubber pocket and it is soldired on both sides (with the black wire connected to the motor and on/off switch) i.e. it is not easy to change the fuse. I am wondering if changing the fuse would be enough to repair it or would it be blown away again if the main problem is in the motor. Any solutions/suggestions?

I’d check the motor very carefully. The brushes may have worn out, or the armature may be damaged or down to earth.

    Hi Penguin45

I checked the motor and it’s body is live with the current i.e. the tester light turns-on on the motor body. I beleive, this means that the motor is gone. Am I correct?
