I have a Samsung RS21. Luckily it’s still in the 2 year warranty, but so far the engineer contracting to GB Domestic via Samsung has been out to it four times.
    1. To cut back the insulation around fan
    2. To find his first repair didn’t work
    3. To replace the evaporator cover & sensors
    4. To find the replacement didn’t work

He will be back soon (typicaly 1 monh after diagnosis) to replace the evaporator cover again.

Last he left he set a pushbutton code that set a defrost on the fridge only, any idea what that was? It looked like push & hold power feeze& fridge temp then the unit beeped every 5 seconds til we cycled the power 2 hours later as told. This has temporarily cured the problem, but, the fan chatter is back, the water is frozen & the fridge has the top warm bottom cold tell tale. It would be good to get this code as I could affect the same to keep me going till he gets back.

    Hi

cutting the evap cover is a temp fix until the cover was in stock if the engineer didnt have one on his van, sometimes it works sometimes not dependant on the condition of the cover,if the cover has been replaced and also the sensors then i would advise to check defrost heater is working.

Got a bit fed up for waiting for the return of the engineer. Can’t praise GB Domestic enough what exemplary service they give (Irony!),
Any way turned the fridge thermostat up to 7 deg for a week, then gradually turned it down to 5 deg. Since then have had no problems & fridge is a good un. Pity about Samsung & thier service agents – there a bed un!!!!
