ParticipantHi
Can anyone help with error codes on a Stoves Genus Oven
It’s been fine up to the other day and now doesn’t heat either the top or main oven
We have a flashing ‘7’ on the display which I guess is an error code of some sort.
Tried to power off and on which didn’t help but can’t think of any other things to try. Many thanks

I don’t have the error codes for that oven, so far as I am aware it is only Glen Dimplex engineers that are to attend them so there’s little known about them. Added to which there’s very few out in the field that we’ve seen as yet.
I would be very interested to hear what you thought about the oven though, other than the fact it’s broken. 😕

Hi
I thought I’d leave my response until after the visit from the Stoves enigneer –
Basically very happy with the oven – very easy to use and easy to clean plus it looks great. Worse thing about it is all the finger marks you get on the touch screen display
Still getting to grips with the whole ‘Genus’ fast cooking thing, so really just using it as a conventional fan oven, but it cooks great. On the occasions I have used the Genus feature it’s turned out fine so I guess i’ll be using that more as time goes by.
Jury’s out on the reliability of the oven (we only bought it in early Feb), but can live with the odd failure especially as the Stoves service seems very good – engineer arrived with correct part and it’s all working now. We’ve also got a Gaggenau steam oven which i don’t think has worked for more than a fortnight before suffering some kind of catistrophic failure so in comparison the Genus is fine.
All in all very happy with the oven and would recommend it to others – so long as it doesn’t keep breaking down (fingers crossed!)November 19, 2008 at 12:50 am #215745phill6x6

Hi,
is there any further news on the genus error codes,
I’ve got exactly the same fault, the flashing number 7, but can find no information on the error codes anywhere.
If I knew what the fault was I could probably fix it.many thanks,
Phill. -
