ParticipantHi,
I think I have choosen the fridge I am going to buy, the Admiral SAL224, about £900 when bought online.
I live in Birmingham but I cant find anywhere that has this model into view it before ordering online (or buying at a shop). I have seen other Admiral, silver models, in MFI but not this matt finish black one.
I like this model because;
– Admiral seem to have less faults & good service
– I want a black one, also non mirrored finish are £500 less.
– It is a bit thinner and will go in the door easier (69.3cm)So a few questions;
– Is there anywhere locally to Brum where I can see this fridge?
– Is this model a good choice in respect to what I want?Thanks

Hi
Try House of fraser, John Lewis and OGormans who are probably the largest independant supplier that I am aware of who are in Bicester. Well built machines with a good back up service.

Currys for one stock the admiral. The black is a very durable finish, personally I have stainless steel. Its a magnet to fingerprints. Thats a problem you wont get with the black or white models.
Can seriously recommend this from the pretenders, but totally bia 8) sedJune 4, 2007 at 11:30 pm #215862kwatt

Sending people to Currys Burns, I’m shocked as you know as well as I the level of product knowledge and service you get there. 😉
Still, if it’s only to have a look. Just make sure they don’t sell you a five year warranty on the visit. 😆

Or try the retailer locator on their website, for a stockist near you.

Thanks for the replies.
However Currys dont stock the model I want, the SAL224 Black with silver handles. Ive used the store locator and it comes up with 247 appliances and House of Fraiser, who also dont stock this model.Thanks for the positive comments Burns, makes me want one even more. Looks like I will just have to order one with out seeing it.

Hi Jon
Try this company they may be able to help. Glebe Electrical, 33 Glebe Farm Road, Stechford, Birmingham B33 9LY Tel.: 0121 783 3352. Failing that you may need to widen the search area on the dealer locator 😉

Well I didnt go to the Admiralty, but I do have a shiny new FF.
I just took a risk and ordered it in the end – and are VERY pleased with it now. Definatly recommend one.
Came in at £900 minus £40 cashback from quidco.com.
