    Have posted here as customer is as curious about this one as I am.

    Fitted replacement front bearing felt (1701674) and all seemed well. Used it once and pyjamas became entangled in gap at bottom and ripped felt off again :rolls: . Having got it all back together again, there is a gap of about 3/8″ at the bottom between the drum and the felt. The support ring isn’t damaged and the tub lip is still parallel and undistorted.

    Am I missing something? Is there a mod or update for this?

    Chris, if this still has the original metal front duct then changing the seal is not the answer. The whole machine had a major modification a couple of years ago that includes a new drum, stats, plastic front duct, seals, filter, motor fan etc. You may be able to pack the rear bearing to move the drum forward but the drum mod kit is the only real permanent cure. Part number 1702495, list price £81.00 ec vat. 😥

    Yup, metal duct/support. It was one of those “in the back of the mind” things, couldn’t recall it.
