I have a new Indesit 1200 WIDL126 washer dryer. When the machine is not in use, it slowly fills up with water. I was experiencing the same problem with my previous machine and decided to buy a new one, but I have since discovered that it is not the machine at fault.
If anyone has any suggestions as to how I can stop the machine slowly filling in between washes (4-5 days) they would be gratefully appreciated.
Hi
I would guess as this is a new machine that it is probably waste water from the sink due to the drain hose at the sink end being too low and in need of being raised in order to give a resistence to the sink water when that is drained.
You can also get a fill valve/s that haven’t fully closed causing a similar fault.
The water that fills up in that instance in the drum tends to be clear.
To eliminate if it is the fill valve/s try turning them off in turn, if the drum doesn’t fill up over a period then its not a weeping valve/s.
