    Hi

I have a F&P which arked then died, preliminary checks showed that fuse F124 had blown and one diode D541 measured short in circuit but not when removed, replacing the fuse proved that there was a problem as the fuse blew again.
After reviewing your posts i measured the inlet valves cold 62ohm ,hot 60 ohm and the pump motor measured open circuit, I found the brown wire had dislodged from the crimp at the motor, this would have caused the arking noise, connection now provided 33.2 ohm measurement.
Further examination of the control board showed that motor control B transistor is short circuit, my question is, is this transistor the sacrificial lamb or would there be more wrong with the board, the three windings of the wash motor all measured 31 ohm, i don’t think the wash motor would be faulty,

    regards

Hi, I’ve got to say most posters opt for replacement boards – new or reconditioned. Can’t really help you with this one. The motor itself is almost indestructible, BTW.
