    HI
I posted a couple of weeks ago having had usual problems with Samsung RS21 DGRS american f/f. We’ve had it for 2.5 years although only used it for about 20 months (kitchen was being fitted).

We got it from Comet and took up the extended warranty when the 2 year cover rang out. It’s £30 pa and I’m so glad we took it! The fridge is the single most expensive thing we own so we thought it was worth it.

Engineer came out on Thursday (5 days from tel call) and we need a new thermo fuse, heater sensor and evaporator cover (inc fan) which would have totalled much more than £30, plus labour of course.

I do sympathise with all those out there experiencing the same problems and was very pleased I found this site which has helped us to identify the problem and seem a little more savvy with the engineer so thanks to those who responded.

    Re: Samsung fridges and insurance

Thanks Sooze, it’s nice to know that we’re good for something. 😉

There is a new insurance product that we are in the middle of launching, only the subscribers currently know about it, where people can insure multiple products at the one time. Kinda like the British Gas scheme only cheaper and using the independents.

I only mention it as it appears that there may be a need for it with some machines and it would prove a very worthwhile investment.

Whilst it’s not generally available as yet if you email me on admin@ukwhitegoods.co.uk I can send out packs to anyone that wants to know more until we get it all sorted.

In the meantime we do have an insurance scheme available for machines that are still covered by warranty, so if you have one and it’s under warranty we can insure you for it at much better rates than Currys, Comet etc. 😉

All our schemes are underwritten by AXA.

    K.
