    Hi, friends of us have a Samsung side by side fridge/freezer with model number SR-S22DTD (SS22WG2/X55). It is 3 years old with only 1 year running (originaly bought in Singapore). We are keen to buy it and use it in Sydney/Australia but are hesitant after reading all the problems posted here.
    Any idea about this model number? Is it likely to have the same issues as all the RS21 type fridges listed in this forum? Your opinion is greatly appreciated.

    Hi

    this model is the equivilent to the RS21 range with custom cool drawer.

    you shouldnt have a problem as its different range.

    Many thanks for your quick reply.

    So the SR-S22DTD doesn’t have one of those failing evaperator covers or defrost sensors? There seem to be so many people with problems with the Samsung side-by-side fridge.

    All side by sides have defrost sensors and heaters,Its just that your model which is more expensive has more features..as they say…the more you pay the more you get.

    omg.. how much would it cost to ship a fridge freezer from singapore to australia?

    wouldntg it be cheasper to buy a new one?

    The shipping has all been done (and once it’s part of a container with all the other furniture, it’s not that bad). The people moved into a place with built-in fridge /freezer. So the Samsung has been siting in their garage for 2 years now.
