    Hi All,
    I have recently moved into a new place and the kitchen (from magnet) came fitted with a “Firenzi FWD1210” washer/dryer… It all works fine, however, even when the controls are set to 0 drying time, after every wash it seems to automatically start a drying cycle of 10minutes (well, the drying light comes on and it makes a whirring noise… assuming it’s the fan).

    Does anyone know if there’s a way to disable this, or if it’s a fault? As when the washing is finished, when you take it out of the machine it is steaming (even after a 30degree wash) – guessing it’s doing a hot dry… not good for garments not suitable to tumble drying – and everything is heavily creased, rather annoying.

    Thanks.

    It’s an Electrolux Group machine, so basically it’s a Zanussi. I’d start by pulling off the dryer knob and make sure it isn’t broken inside.

    As it’s a brand new machine and isn’t supposed to do this (?) I’d rather just tell them to get the peice of crap out of my house and get me something better, rather than rip it apart.

    When these machine finish spinning they automaticly go onto dry for about 5-10 seconds. If this is your fault then the machine is ok and it could be that the machine has a hot water pipe connected to it which means it will wash and rinse in hot water. check this out first before you loose faith in this machine hope this helps

    Thanks for the responses both of you;

    There’s only a cold water supply (I knows this because I had to pull the machine out because magnet left a factory seal in the drain hose).

    Do you mean 5-10 minutes, rather than seconds?, as mine drys for more like 10 minutes…
