ParticipantHi yet again.
Theres insufficient water pressure to the top spray arm,the water level looked low so I filled it manually to the correct level but still no pressure.
I assume its the valve within the heater, will the heater on part number 269158 do the job or do I need 483657.
I remember doing one of these and it was akward!!!.
Whats the best way?.
Thanks guys.
Chris.

Hi
Sounds like the water diverter in the heater box has gone, You will need the exact one to suit the model which will be 483657.
The disc stops rotating by becoming jammed or snaps and will not divert between arms sometimes accompinied by a cracking sound as it tries. It alternates every 60 seconds.
Best way I have always found is taking the tank off and how to do it has been posted somewhere before 😕
No doubt someone will come along and suggest you turn it upside down 😆 But I wouldn’t 😉
Hope this helps

Thanks Steve 😀 .
When you say it alternates every 60 seconds,do you mean top arm only operates for 60 then stops then starts again in another 60?.

Hi Chris
The top arm operates for 60 seconds and then it switches to the lower arm and that then operates for 60 seconds and so on, a good way to check i have found is by taking the deco door off and the outer steel door, set the machine running and when its full of water the alternation will be very apparent by the splashing inside the machine.
Its worth bearing in mind that if that top arm is at all suspect it will not turn, they sieze when their hot and leak out so much water it looses pressure and will not turn, I fit loads of top arm assemblys but very few heaters for failed diverters.
