My 13 month old Kenwood dishwasher has developed a fault, and need advice on how I can fix it if possible please.

When I close the door to start the wash program the unit beeps 10 times and four of the program lights flash constantly, and refuses to fill with water. There is nothing in the manual indicating what the problem could be, it only states that I should call for technical help.

The drain pump is working as I have forced the switch and put a cup full of water in the bottom and observed it drain away when I have set a program.

Has anybody had similar problems with their dishwasher?.

    Thanks in advance

Don’t recognise the combination, so can’t advise what the specific fault may be. However, the single commonest failure on these Chinese machines is the base tray gets flooded, all sorts of strange things can then happen.

Type ‘Haier’ into the search facilty for this forum only for an idea of what you’re up against. Grim reading, I’m afraid.

Power off if you are going to investigate more thoroughly.

    Hi

Mine is around 20 months old and has been nothing but trouble since we purchased it.

Yesterday I noticed exactly the same fault. Have you managed to find out what the problem is. I dont really want to spend any more money on it if I dont have to.

    thanks

    Hi All

If your HAIR dishwasher has lasted 13 and 20 months then your dishwashers are an exception.

Normally they last till the first wash or install whichever comes sooner. They are an engineers nightmare without any technical back up even to autherized engineers.

Change it for a reliable appliance and dont waste anymoney on the repair as it wont last.

    Hi
Miele or Bosch are excellent makes.
