    Hi

Figured I’d post this for anyone who gets the led 2 (easy iron) and door lock error. Please note I do not know the technical terms for any of the parts!

Error 2 is suposed to be a problem with the water level sensor. Checked out the pressure switch and it was fine and checked out the pipe coming from it and that was all fine. I also checked inside the black rubber boot thing with the white ball inside and that was all fine. I replaced the pressure switch in case it was faulty but this didnt fix it.

Pulled out the white main control unit and unplugged all the connection and tested it. Lo and behold it was working again so I put the main contol unit back in and reassembled the machine.

Switched it on and got the same error!!!! Took out the control unit and it started working again – obviously the loose connection then!

I unwrapped the entire wiring loom and pulled out every connector and using a digital volt meter tested the continuity of every single cable and connector and pulled and waggled the cables about but did not find a single fault.

I then wrapped the ENTIRE wiring loom in black insulating tape (ie so it looks like a motorcycle wiring loom) to protect it from vibration and lo and behold the washing machine works fine.

    hope this helps

Bad connections on these modules are very common indeed, glad to hear you sorted it.

    Jim.
