ParticipantI came in from work the other day, and the wife had me dinner on. As i walked through the door the electric tripped, not really thinking i just switched it all back on. Didn’t seem to trip again.
After about 30 mins t seemd that the dinner wasn’t any further than when i walked through the door.
Luckly enough its a duel oven, so we just used the top oven.
So we finished our dinner, lovely jubely. Yum Yum !!
After letting it all cool down, I then turned back on the Fan oven and it seems that the oven is not heating up at all???
My thoughts are either the Thermostat or the Element
Any help is very much appreciated.
Someone please help (i hate microwave meals)
Cheers
Dave

Fan element, if it blew the fuses. Have a read of this:
http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/modules.p … ge&pid=103P/no for your element is 6102752, an email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk for prices and ordering.
Power off if you intend to do this yourself.

I have stripped out the fan element and have found that there are no splits that i can see. I have however noticed some bubbling. And at one point the element crosses over and touches itself, I cannot see any problems at this point but would this create a hotspot?

http://www.cbirch.plus.com/cooker/element2.jpgI have contacted spares direct and they say that there are 2 replacement elements for this. 6102752 which is a 2kw and 6204370 which is a 2.5kw.
Here are some of the markings on the element.
?C2???? 2500W 240V 12 0 4 “bs sign” B16171 970110060
Cant seem to make out the ? characters.
Looking at the marking i would assume that the element is a 2.5kw version P/N 6204370.
I have also added some pics of the rear of the cooker, could you please confirm that this is general use.

The markings on the rear of the oven are quite normal 😉
