    Hi All

I have a Bauknecht dishwasher of indeterminate age – was here when we bought the house three years ago.

The Model number is GSF 402 WS

In the middle of a wash cycle, whilst attempting to pump out, We experienced a drain blockage (not in the machine, further down the waste line) This caused the Circuit breaker to trip.

We cleared the blockage, but the machine is now flashing the start button twice every few seconds. On holding down the start button, (usually results in canceling the program) the machine goes through a pump out cycle and then stops.

Is there anything I can do to make the machine continue with the program.

    Many thanks in advance

    Re: Bauknecht flashing start button

The undertray of the machine will be full of water and it’s on it’s flood protection which gives the two flashes…unplug the machine without delay until you’ve drained it (tip back at 45 degrees, plenty of old towels on the floor) then let it dry out…the undertray has a couple of torx screws holding it on so it can be removed easily.

It’s probable that the blockage has caused this but there are other known issues with these such as flow meter failure, or wash pump failure so keep a careful eye on it the next time you try it.

Don’t forget power disconnected before doing anything :zap:

    Hi Clive,

Thanks for that, It worked fine.

It picked up the wash cycle where it left off.

However, after about two minutes, it blew the circuit breaker again and gave me a little flood.

I guess there must be a problem in the waste system underneath, unless you have any other ideas??

    Best Regards,

    Peter
