You may remember about 15 months ago the element on my dryer failed & a new one was fitted under warranty. This one has also now failed but I am guessing that Bosch warranty repairs are only guaranteed for 12 months. Do you happen to know whether they have a had a manufactuing problem with these elements as it seems strange that both elements have failed just over the 12 months. I am guessing that a new element will cost in the region of £60.00 for the part & therefore whether it’s worth it if it’s only going to last another year or whether to cut my losses & buy a different make of dryer
I would be grateful for any advice anyone can give me.

    Many thanks

Heater is p/no 492159, showing at £72.50, plus VAT etc….

However, as the machine is actually made by Gorenje, it might be worth asking spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk for a price on Gorenje p/no 581370 – you may be pleasantly surprised.

If the heater has failed already, I would investigate the state of your venting arrangements.

Power off, if you’re going to do this yourself.
