need help with freezer

    Hi, I have a hotpoint fridge/freezer ice diamond.
    First things first, where do i find the relavant information ie model number?
    All im trying to do is defrost it but we got it second hand and i cant work it out.
    Can i still run the fridge without the freezer or anre they now both broken?

    The model number should usually be either on the inner wall at the salad crisper or on the inside of the door.

    We’d need a model to answer the rest.

    Hi, Thanks for that, it is a RF64S no 79104100 R134a

    I believe the freezer to be broken because it keeps frosting up too much so that you cant shut the door!
    However it could be that the seal has gone on the door causing it to over frost!
    Can i continue to use the fridge without the freezer?
    What does the slider on the front mean? I thought that it was for defrosting but after trying different setting it still wont defrost?
