    Hi
Posted about a week and a half ago about my Rosiere Oven – see post below!. Well…..I received the upper element today……speedy del!!! Thanks for that!
The only prob is the oven is still tripping out as soon as it is switched on . Do you think this means that it must be the lower element that has blown? We checked both and they both looked fine. The right hand oven wasn’t in use at the time so it couldn’t be that oven causing the problems could it? Also, the orange light on the front of the oven has come out.

Sorry to ask so many questions but HELP!

    Regards
    Gayle

    Hi

If the appliance is tripping as soon as you switch the cooker switch on then the problem will be something normally touching or shorting,If the element was faulty then it would normally only trip when that funtion is switched on.check that the neon light isnt touching something it shouldnt be as that is direct to the power source.

    Re: Rosieres Oven – BRYAN

Bryan you are a STAR!!! After spending £60 on a new element….a bargain I must add, we have now found out that the problem was the plastic cover on the light on front of the oven had broken causing the wire to fall inside the oven casing where it touched the actual metal of the oven. The result….one trip switch going BANG every time we tried to turn it on!
We have now moved the wire….and voila an oven that works!!!

Thanks to everyone for your help. You are all brill!

    Hi Gayle

Make sure that you fully insulate the neon connections, this is a common problem with the neon front breaking off.(which is what youve called the light)
