Hi, have just put a drum bearing kit in this awful machine, (Hotpoint vtd00p)I used all the parts in the kit, seals, pads, shaft etc, but the bugger is still squeaking from the rear bearing, should this be lubricated?any ideas please
    Thanks Allan

Think theres a modification to rear bearing, did it say on sheet to put washer on shaft first, next to drum? Check on the brass/copper earth continuity strip that touchs shaft, sometimes this causes a squeal.

Yep put washer on as instructions said, earth strip seems fine, the squeak is intermitent but is coming from back bearing and shaft

Are you sure, really sure, that the drum is sitting properly on the front bearing pads? 😉
