smeg range cooker

    model SUK91MFX

    called late on today, fault no heat in oven

    it is a twin element main oven

    fans running ok

    no voltage on heating elements up on test with volt meter

    clock indicating calling for cook operation

    its a pain to take off front cover plate…i am suspecting electronic clock
    failure

    any one had similar problem, to save me spending time stripping down

    would not fans also be isolated as well as heat source?

    Can you tell us if the elements were blown? as sometimes they blow and take out some other stuff along the line. Check also the gas ignition for the hob is working as the 2 often fail together. Careful on the door switches as they dont all have them…even if shown in the manual. A faulty clock would give you a dead oven and I am assuming the thermostat light is on, right?
