ParticipantWhen you put w/m on a spin it starts off at 13 mins, it coasts a few times then tries to pick up speed but drops off then goes to 1 min on display.Found brushes were worn and replaced them but still have same problem. Is it likley to be the pcb or motor.
Cheers

keep running the machine. do cycle after cycle after cycle. I had the same trouble the other day. (There is a post on here somewhere.) The brushes should eventually seat properly.

Oh blimey? It could be either in my experience? First off you need to megger the motor and ensure it does not have the slightest earth leak. Only ‘infinity’ will suffice. 😉 Up to 5 megohms is not acceptable as far as the prog electronics are concerned. So best you strip the motor down, clean it up with WD40, bedding stick (if required?) the armature and try again.
If you still have a problem? Then take the module route 🙁

Don’t think it’ll be down to the module, its always the motor, even had this with new motors when the brushes haven’t been seated in the factory, or another engineer has ‘borrowed’ brushes from the new motor and refitted another set at a later date, we can never usually tell as the new motors travell around from van to van daily.
White brush seater stick usually works a treat, then reduced spin for the first couple of washes.

Hi
Had one last week same symtoms as OP, found brushes low.
New brushes fitted and com cleaned with stick and residual carbon dust removed. They wouldn’t seat after numerous unloaded spins and also noticed it pulsing the fill valve at the same time as the spin attempts.
Appliance was in laundry room so customer wasn’t aware that it had been arcing for weeks and causing irrepairable damage to the motor commutator and/or module 😥Greg
