Hi, Im using a Hotpoint WMA30 which sometimes rattles and shakes really violently for a few seconds every so often then calms down and is perfect. However it has now chewed some of my clothes with the “grey” rubber marks off the door seal all over them. Inside the rubber seal I can see its rough and looks like it has been rubbing. I know the washer was not level as it had moved from it’s original level position. (floor not level)

    Any ideas?

If its made holes by rubbing against the door seal, then it is either badly unlevel (leaning to the front) or it has been overloaded, pushing the clothes out into the seal on spin, also check that all 3 of the drum lifters are secure
