    Assume its full size machine?……….
Sounds like the hose from the tank to the sump is blocked (usually black rubber type) then overfills and spills out of that little hole, usually locks out the safety valve too.
Should be an old Bosch SMS machine.
    Failing that, blocked tank.

…..in addition to Steve’s reply…..Also check that the water inlet nozzle into that metering tank (at the top) is not scaled up? If it is, often the water not only enters the metering tank at a rate of knots but overflows into the tub at the same time. The result means that the machine overfills and water pours out of that “little hole” straight down over the salt valve and onto the baseplate!

    HTH?

If it leaks from the breather hole in the metering tank, you will prob,ly find a partial blockage in the sump hose a good clean out normaly does the trick. ps If it is this it only leaks on the third fill so it isnt easy to find.
