Apparently only leaks after last spin. Removed rear cabinet, there is evidence of water on the baseplate around the grey plastic outlet hose but I have examined the hose very carefully and can see no sign of a hole. With the cabinet rear off I ran the machine on rise & spin cylce with a load of towels in. Not a sign of a leak, pulled and twisted the outlet pipe, nothing, not even sweating. 😥
I am going to fit a new outlet pipe just to be proactive, customer rang to say that when she put the wet towels back onto spin after I had left it then leaked. 😕
I have asked her to put the machine on a wash cycle for my return visit, any suggestions as to possible cause welcome. 🙂

Well a bunged up manifold will cause intermittent overfill problems and the most likely suspect? Beside that the Dispenser/Tub hose could be restricted with clogged detergent causing the water to flow out of the dispenser side vent/overflow? Small hole in plastic tub? Steam Hose at top of tub not secure?

No sign of overfilling, only leaks at the very end after final spin. Hose at top of tub appears fine.

This is a split tub and I’ve seen once or twice leaking from the centre seam due to vibration on final spin.
Never replaced one but the centre tub gasket is the first thing listed on Connect for this model or maybe get away with tightening all tub fixing bolts.Check your seams 😆

Hi Bryan, I suspected something like this, that is why I stuck a large load of towels in it to try and get it to leak but you know how it is, never bloody leak when I’m stood over them. Ran it through a full rinse and spin cycle without a drip. have asked her to put it on a hot wash before my next visit, hopefully that will open up any cracks.

Jim. There is a diagnostic programme on this machine that includes a test for leaks. Test Function L6
It fills to a high level and then spins for several minutes at 250rpm.
I have sent you the diagnostics by email in case you cant find it on TDS.

in the past i have had quite a few leaking on final spin, the tub half seal was always the culprit but they changed the design of the seal, havent seen one leaking in along time now.

I have known the inlet valve dribble on Zanussi m/c on spin in the past, especially if its the type where the inlet hose is not directly coupled to the valve and the water is drawn through – Not sure on that model.
Just a thought!

Went back an hour ago, machine had been on half an hour, water on the base again but couldn’t see were it had come from. Then by chance I spotted a tiny drop of water on the wiring harness clip at the back of the dispenser, close to the inlet hoses. You can just see a black mark on the dispenser, possibly an air break.Seems the water was only leaking on rinses, possibly last fabric conditioner rinse rather than spin.
Removed soap drawer and bingo, what a mess. Removed and cleaned out dispenser, no more leaks. 🙂
