Diplomat ADP8226 integrated dishwasher. Nr. 00515 0999.
The soap dispenser solenoid was faulty, so I fitted a new dispenser unit. (The dispenser solenoid was jamming therefore the lid wouldn’t shut and then, when shut, it would not release.) The solenoid was obviously mis-shapen as the core plunger was sticking halfway in. I was puzzled as to why this had happened.
After fitting the replacement dispenser, I discovered the probable cause. As soon as you switch the machine to a cycle, the dispenser solenoid buzzes constantly. The only way to stop it is to pull the wire off. 😕 The original solenoid must have overheated.
I can only think it is the PCB. The dispenser is wired straight to it. Anyone had this fault before? Could it be anything else??
Also, Connections doesn’t show anything for ADP8226; so a part number for the offending article would be greatly appreciated!!
Cheers,
Steve.
