Participanthotpoint wd63p…fault…no water heat..i have changed timer, checked heater and integrated t/stat, checked for broken/poor connection between heater and timer and pressure switch. unplugged motor, selected program c…95degree wash. front off, machine fills, heater comes on for about a minute and then goes off. selector ticks on to program d then onto e…baffled…help with explination and fix please.

The machine will abort the heat pause if no temperature rise is detected in one minute or so.
The economy switch is in series with the thermistor, therefore the machine will only heat for one minute and then abort if the economy switch is selected.
The fact that you have heat for one minute implies that your problem must be in the economy switch or the thermistor wiring.

Another possible, make sure that the speed control resistor (if it has one) hasn’t been put on the variable temp position by mistake.
(it’s the back two connectors marked 52 to 57 on the sheet that I sent you)

thanx to all of you who made the usefull suggestions..changed the option switches today. w/d seemed much better. however to customer asked me to leave it with them so they could run some test washes. can hardly blame them for this as i have raised their hopes before…will update this post later when i hope to report a sucess!!!!
