    On/Off: Flashing Rapidly
Drying High Heat: Every 2 seconds
Remove Creases: Every 2 seconds (Syncs with High Heat)

I only got this damn washer just over a year ago. I never take extra warranty as I expect these things to last longer 🙁

    Any help would be greatful.
    Great site by the way.

    *Edit*

After reading other posts it seems you need numbers. Starting from the top and going down there are 5 LED’s. The first and second are flashing every second or so while the On/Off LED is a lot faster.
    Hope this helps.

    thats f12

    meaning non communicaation between pcb’s

first thing, unplug, leave for 10 mins, plug in try again

second check wiring plug/loom between pcb/s

failing that, itll need a pcb and eprom

plug out if your gonna have a look

Re: Hotpoint WD420 – Flashing Lights

I unplugged the washer a few times but each time after plugging it in the lights would all light up for about 30 seconds before going back to the error codes. Before I went to bed I unplugged the machine like you said and then replugged it back in this morning. Lights all lit up and about 4 seconds later just the power light is back on!

I rang Hotpoint’s “Help Desk” which was bloody useless. Rather than attempting to maybe give me some pointers he would sooner send an engineer out and charge me £90+ just to see what the problem was.

I will report back after I have tried a wash. Thanks alot for the help!

I too had the same error.

Turned it off for 30 minutes, then back on again, flashing error lights went away! Is it MS Windows running these washing machines? I feel like i’m in an IT help desk doing that.
