Seems like things are going from bad to worse down in the depths of Indesit/Hotpoint land.
Only last week , forum member and regular poster johnnyj told me that several of his colleagues had had enough, he himself is leaving in the next few weeks to go down the franchise route 😯 . Another contact has just e-mailed me to say that Indesit have introduced a new delivery system and reconciliation sheet, all parts are being changed to C000 numbers, for instance 168172 seal is now a C000115623, :rolls: apparently chaos is the order of the day ATM.

    Now, if I were a cynical b4st4rd…

If I were in Indesit’s shoes and I wanted shot of as many engineers as possible to farm the work out thereby saving a fortune and a huge load of hassle I don’t need… now what would I do…

Oh yeah, I know, I’d make the job as much of a PITA as possible to get as many to leave as possible!

Oh, here’s another brilliant idea, why don’t we offer a crap franchise to people, removing all the need to pay wages, NI, vans etc. etc. but we still get the work done the way we want, brilliant. We don’t even have to pay into a pension scheme or nuffin’ ’cause they’re all then subcontracted. Hell, don’t even have to pay them redundancy and TUPE doesn’t apply either.

Brilliant and very cunning plan, they’ll never suss it, they’re all too stupid.

But see, I’m not that cynical to think that a quality company like Indesit would do a thing like that. 😉

Creda re-numbered everything, and Hoover have done it twice. Even Bosch did it. A few pains at the time, but everybody managed…….

I imagine that Indesit don’t have the support staff in place to make this work though. A translation disc with the usual 20{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} errors should cause enough chaos to p!ss people off.
