The machine first developed this fault under warranty and the thermal cut off cable was replaced. Now i’ve replaced that and still no joy 🙁 Any ideas Guys? Anything i can test, i’m quite handy with a multimeter

Where is the element located?
My machine has developed the same fault, but dsin’t know where to look for the element.

It is inside the large alloy box on top of the drum, the terminals stick out of the top of the heater box. The two connections to the element are fairly obvious.

thanks. Have found the element, and it appears to be open cirucuit – I can only measure the resistance upto about 5Kohms, canyou confirm what resistance it should be? also, How much is an element?

Resistance is approx 43Ω. Part number is C00080765, an e-mail to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk will get you the info you need.
