ParticipantHi, Im new on here. I have been recommended to this forum by a friend.
Yesterday my Hotpoint Aquarius gave up on me. We have to go and look tomorrow for a new one. Wondered if anyone could give me any good advise on which brand to go for. We have heard good things about Zanussi. Is this true? We also fancy a washer drier, but not sure how reliable and good they are. We are looking at spending between £350 – £400. So basically either a washer or washer/drier.Thanks

buy a bosch…recommended by my wife…washer dryers are a moot point…a) you can only wash or dry…the dryers are not as efficient as separate washmachine and tumble dryer. is space a problem for two appliances? b) i’m sure you will get some more opinions from this fine web site but as it’s early and i have to go and fix things i’ll leave it with you for now

Thanks for that Richard. Yes, space is a problem. We have a really small kitchen. Bosch do seem a good brand.

Hi everyone. Went and got our new washer this afternoon. We have gone for a Hotpoint Aqualtis. Has some good reviews. Has anyone else got one? It was £450 but because the man told us it was £430 at the time we got it for that. 😀

Why? You ask the professionals for an opinion, then completely ignore it. The machine is a disaster waiting to happen – I only hope that you have taken out the extended parts and labour warranty.
The original Which? review rubbished it, BTW.
Good luck…………..

Yeah, written by people that have bought one, and they are hardly likely to rubbish their choice of purchase are they? Besides the reviews you have read are published by those that want to sell more and they are hardly likely ever to publish bad reviews! :rolls:

Went to one last week, only 7 months old, customer called me because she knew she had lost a credit card in the machine. due to the sealed drum it was impossible to remove it, she now has a choice, put up with the noise of the card catching the drum and snagging the odd item of clothing or pay for a complete new drum assy. 😥
