customer says oven trips fuse box when it reaches 220c. ok, it did. changed oven element…still tripped, changed t/stat and all was well, until today. now trips at about 160c…help and advice please. landlord getting miffy

gordy, thanks, it looked ok when i fitted the t/stat so i will check again and look at the hardwired connection box behind oven

has it got the cooling fan that only comes on when the cabinet reaches a set temp??

htpnt, yes a cooling fan set at an angle behind the control panel. when i tested the oven after fitting the new t/stat with the oven on the floor, the fan came on for about 1min. then put it back into the cavity and the oven got to 220c, tried it again through lower temps and all seemed to be ok. however i did not listen if the cooling fan came on.
