    I am pretty certain the main oven thermostat on our Creda Concept Solarglo (13 years old) needs replacing. Is it a DIY job?

    It is impossible to know your capabilities, however it involves sides off, hob off, all knobs etc. Not straightforward by any means.

    What are the symptoms?

    Food cooking too fast, temperatures unreliable. I suspect it might be beyond me!

    It would point to a thermostat fault, does the fan appear to run smoothly? A model number would allow us to give you an approx cost of the part at least.

    Correct part number is 6222800, around £40.00 ex vat. not the simplest of DIY jobs TBH.
