Done this morning, by Goatboy senior (yes, by himself).
Time: 1 hour 20 mins (He doesn’t work fast)
Positives: “It was straight forward enough”
Negatives: He didn’t like the Zanussi style pegs thast hold on the suspension.
He also said that he couldn’t find a reason for the fault, though it was full of water behind the seal 😕
He’s just also told me that he removed the top weight, but left the front weight and motor on. Then he disclosed that he couldn’t lift the tub off the springs with that weight on. Derrrrr! So he laid the machine over to removed the tub 8)
ie. Two man job to lift the tub with the front weight on.
Front weight only takes a couple of minutes to remove, not worth the struggle. I also dropped the motor off when I did a drum front change before lifting out.

This is a worry? 🙁
Was the spider replaced as well or just the bearing kit? Looking at the graining photo images I can’t see the state of that vital bronze collar? Was there any clothing fibre debris on or around this area when it was dismantled?
