ModeratorAre there any Aussie cricket fans out there who can remember a spoof cricket commentary from about 20 or so years ago. I did have a copy on tape but I cannot find it anywhere.
I have no idea who the Aussie blokes who did it were called. It was about a test match between Australia and Pakistan, very crude language but extremely funny. Brilliant impersonations of Richie Benaud and Tony Greg etc. Joke names like Broke Miandad and a cracking one liner about Keppler Wessels etc.
I would love to get a fresh copy of this if anyone out there knows of a source.
G’day.
Jim.

Heh, heh – UKW Moderator wanders into deep uncharted territory just as I’m about to go on holiday….. I think you’re in charge ’til next Friday, Jim 😆
They don’t actually say “G’day” BTW, and they’re not all called Bruce – well, except for Bruce……
Found this, BTW:

Excellent, It starts almost word for word like the version I had, except it was Australia v Pakistan.
And it was twenty years ago, 😥
Thanks to all, esp BPS. 8)

This one was all of twenty years ago, the very first one he did. Using various sources 😉 we have managed to locate two or three MP3 files but it looks like I will have to buy a compilation to get the one I wanted, although a more recent England v Sri Lanka one he did is almost word for word the same as the very first one for the first few minutes.
Thanks.
Jim.
