does the door lock activate before you set the programme
if it does then you have a shorted triac on the main pcb

close the door switch on the timer to a programme but do not push the start button
does the door lock ?
if the door locks without pushing start then is prog panel fault

The module is faulty and needs replacing as does the Interlock. The motor needs careful attention and the wiring harness around the bottom counterweight needs checking. 😉

Look, this is very simple to sort. Slip the door seal and pull the lock out on its wires. Set the machine to spin, push the lock slider across and hit start. Give it a couple of minutes to warm through, and press cancel. After it all stops, if you’re still getting 240v at the lock, the board has a fault. If you haven’t got volts, it’s a sticky lock and needs replacing.

That isn’t what I said. I said press Cancel – when the programme has cancelled, you are at the programme end. If you still have volts at that point, you have a board fault. Otherwise, the door lock.

thanks chris and all the guys for your help went back to machine the interlock was missing a N connection traced wire back up to the board and the neutral on the board had blowen tryed to bridge the blowen connection but the track had come away from the board what would be the most likly cause for that happening when i showed it to the woman she said that must have been the bang i heard now she tells me could you connect the neutral from the interlock to another neutral in the machine dont think it would work as you are still missing the neutrals from the board what do you guys think thanks fasetester 🙂

I refer you to my previous post: –

Very common fault where the Interlock shorts out internally and takes the Module with it…..!!!!

why does the manufacture not put a in line fuse between the interlock and the board would that not save the board when the interlock would short out what do you think fasetester
