Going to thismachine tomorrow. Customer says the machine, at the start of the program, normally fills , pauses a couple of seconds, then fills some more. Now it does the first stage fill only . the second stage is not happening. Machine works OK on a rinse program or a spin program. Thus the sol valve and the pump are OK. Any suggestions as to where to look would be appreciated. Neptune

I would imagine one side of the double cold valve is faulty or wiring to it.
I’m assuming the initial fill is the same side of the valve used as on the rinses.

    Hope this makes sense.

Many thanks for your reply. Makes perfect sense to me, and I will take a look tomorrow. I keep you posted, Neptune.

The initial fill would be for the pre-rinse – the second fill for the detergent side so Timdownings suggestion sounds spot on

Went to this machine today, The diagnosis was bang on! The double solenoid valve is a slightle odd design in that the loom connects to the coil via a sort of PCB. The coils are unusual in that the tags are bent at an angle of 90 degrees. I temporarily fitted a common coil after bending the tags. It worked but the connections to the PCB were unreliable so I have ordered a complete double valve assembly. I am very greatful for all help received. This is another odd fault to put in my little book. The other symptom of this fault is failure to dispense the detergent.
