There’s a lot of talk in the press and media these days about ‘Carbon Footprints’ 😕

Most of it is just over zealous, exaggerated scaremongering and almost impossible to quantify accurately by anyone? :rolls:

Well, this morning I think I have direct proof that carbon footprint is a real and visual thing, what’smore I’ve managed to capture it with my camera! 😀

Only trouble is that it is in fact my very own footprint left on a customers dining room carpet after I changed the Brushes on her Bosch washer! 😳

Does anyone know the best way of removing it? I suggested a mild soap and water solution and my customer volunteered to sort it after I apologised profusely…..clumsy me. 😳

thats unusual that, all our customers are adamant that the only way to remove that kind of mark is for us to replace it with a new, updated, more expensive carpet.

ouch, let us know how or indeed if they got it out

Very funny Martin. I like your sense of humour. I’m surprised at you though making such an elementary mistake after all these years. I used to use WD-40 which removes all sorts of marks and stains.

    Vanish Carpet & Upholstery Mousse.

Fantastic on red wine and chocolate stains. We do try to drink most of the wine but you know how easily a wine glass gets knocked over.

It’s a little known fact that a glass of white wine has never been knocked over. Only red ones are susceptible to this phenomenon

Sorry took me a while to get round to replying to this one. That’s the trouble with, “related topics.”
That footprint isn’t yours Martin; it’s a large Swiss mountain dog, front paws.

Yeah, it does look a bit like a big dog’s paws but no, it were definitely my footprint and I’m an old dog anyway so you’re partly correct at least in your observation. 🙂

Since I committed that crime on the carpet I always take motor’s outside (where practical) to change brushes and clear away the carbon dust. I did read recently of guys buying compressed air spray cans to blow away carbon dust. But I’ll stick with the old fashioned ‘blowing & brushing’ method outside the house where the carbon can go where it likes…!!
