    Hi,
    Fitted a main oven fan motor;
    When testing i thought the fan cut out with the element, then back in again.
    I have checked it has been wired ok. On a second visit it ran all the time.
    Does the pcb at the back turn the oven fan on/off or should it run all the time like normal?
    Cheers

    not sure but some of these ovens had an overheat stat mounted by the oven fan motor had one with a bad terminal that heated stat cutting out oven

    as i say going from memory so may be wrong but worth a check but fan motor should not cutout if it does it sounds like an overheat stat of some kind

    hope this helps

    Was it a genuine fan motor?…fitted a pattern one now and again which have a built in TOC which plays up….just a thought because you are correct, the fan motor should run all the time the oven is on.

    The pcb’s work slightly differently depending on the age, most are like a relay board using triacs (maybe it should be calles a triac board? 😆 ) switching the cooling fan, interior lights etc. The later ones IIRC gave an overrun on the cooling fan.
