Hello! The belt on my Bendix WD1054B washer dryer has come off and I am wondering whether there are any suggestions on how a layperson could re-secure it – are any special tools required or is this a job for the repairman? M

That model number is not listed? Is this a UK sold appliance? If so it would be a Tricity Bendix as a rule not Bendix. 😕

The machine is a has Bendix ‘duomatic’ WD1054B on the faceplate and is a washer / condenser dryer and has Bendix Australia on the sticker on the back plate along with the model number. It was purchased and lives in Australia!

I thought as much, no wonder it didn’t come up on the info we have here. 😉

So, I’ve moved the thread to the Aussie Appliance forum in case some bushman down there might be able to answer your question with some clarity?

If it’s anything like a European Bendix? With no access to the back panel? Then the rear cabinet half has to be removed before you can access the drum pulley and belt. 😉
