I have a NEFF under counter fridge K4310X0GB/03 with a door that is not closing properly. I have removed the decor panel to eliminate any possible fouling.

I am fairly sure that the self closing hinges are worn – if I give the door a push, the hinges will close the door to the point where the door is still 3 inches open rather than pulling it all the way shut as kitchen cabinet hinges do.

If I push the door all the way, the seal will grip the door but only just. In day to day use the door is often getting left slightly open. The seal appears to be in good condition – no splits and feels flexible, similar to our nearly new main fridge/freezer.

Should the hinges be contributing to keeping the door shut or are both hinges and seal worn out?

If I need to replace both, I suspect the cost might be such that I might as well buy a new fridge although I would rather not from an ecological point of view (I’m not sure of the age of the fridge – it was installed when I moved in – I suspect it is at least 7 years old)

Incidentally, I can’t find these parts on the UK Whitegoods Shop which I prefer to support if possible.

    Many thanks,

    Nick

    Hi
IMHO it will just be the hinges, they come as a set, p/no 489424 app £40+ usual, available from spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk 🙂
