    Am thinking of jacking Hotpoint, this is the 2nd mahine in 3 years which has done the same thing to me!

    The machine won’t wash and the Wash light just flashes on and off, not quickly just on and off. Have heard a lot about fault codes but this doesnt seem to be one of them. Water runs through the detergent tray but it is cold so assume something is wrong with the heater system or thermostat. There is also a certain amount of water getting through to the drum but it doesn’t fill the drum by any means. Anyone help or advice?

    Sounds very much likea wayward computer board to me……

    Cheapest option would be to send for The Indesit Company and pay their £90 – you would get all parts free under the 5 year warranty.

    Sorted now….made sure the outflow pipe is high and it works now. Apparently the washer was too full of water and therefore co0uldnt wash. Anyone know why this is the case cos it has me flummoxed!

    Possible objects partially blocking the sump hose filter. Small handerchiefs, ‘Colour Catchers, or other items can affect the fill levels.
