    * I don’t do refrigeration*

    Model CPC240FFK

    Sometimes the back wall of the fridge is iced up as well as the crisper trays. Other times the fridge temp can go up to 12 degrees.

    Is this a Stat fault?

    If no, what?

    If yes, what Stat will i need to fit this machine?

    Cheers.

    Is the fan working in the freezer section?

    Good question. To be truthful i don’t know. The information i have is third hand originating from my 92 year old nan.

    Could you give me a flow of things to check?

    Hi Tim
    The fan is in the back of the freezer (inside). it should be running to circulate chilled air. They generally get worn bearings and the speed starts to slow down or stop. I cannot remember if you can see the fan on this model, but you should be able to feel air circulating from it. Another problem when they go faulty is that you get an ice build preventing ciculation you may need to do a de-frost.
    I would not rule out that you may have a faulty module and/or thermistor, but check the fan first
