No matter which programme tried, my ADG957 just sits and drains before eventually giving one long beep with a constant cycling Start light.

Having already looked through thr forum and seen similar faults I followed the advice and bought a new NTC from here. £38 later, no change.

If anything, its gotten worse, previously it used to sometimes fill and then after a while drain (the default action if it detects a fault it looks like!) before beeping again.

Whats next? The main PCB?? The whole machine will be out in the skip and a new one bought if it is! Machine is 6 years old, and the nearest repair shop is 200 miles away.

Ive dug out my paperwork and I appear to have a 10 year parts guarantee from Whirlpool, but the travelt ime and labour has to be paid for and a new machine would be cheaper.

if the machine has a solid bottom
take the bottom plinth at the front off
check if the base is full of water
if it is get rid of water and try machine watching for where the leak is coming from
UNPLUG MACHINE BEFORE REMOVING ANY PANEL :zap: 🙁

I’ve already had the unit apart to replace the NTC sensor, there is no water.

It made no difference to the fault. I then removed the pressure sensor, there was some fat build up in it. After cleaning, I confirmed with a multimeter that the pressure switch was OK. Also measured it and poured some water in the machine to confirm its operation in situ.

After that, the machine then appeared to work correctly. I have only tried it once, so will run it again this evening to confirm its all working again. The fault seemed to get worse over the last few weeks so hopefully it was just the pressure switch.

Maybe the advice for the constant flashing light meanining it is almost certainly be the NTC sensor could be changed to get people to clean and check their pressure sensor first. That way £38 on a new NTC could be saved, at least checking/cleaning the switch is free!

Just to follow up, the machine is now fully operational and back to normal.

I would suggest people check the pressure switch at the bottom of the machine for a build up of fat on the sensor before shelling out on a new NTC.

Depending on the age of your machine it may be that the only error code shown to the user is a single flash.
Full model and serial numbers are required to identify the exact machine.
