    Hygena APL 8224 uses a whole dispenser of salt in 2 or 3 cycles, with salt deposits on the cutlery/glasses etc. Otherwise seems to work fine. Any suggestions for a fix? Many thanks.

    The obvious one is that the cap of the salt chamber is damaged in some way and is not sealing the chamber.

    The tricky one is that the softener unit itself is faulty in someway – big, complex, expensive repair.

    Check out the cap first!
