Hi there – Can anyone help?

My diplomat dishwasher is beeping twice about every 5 minutes (even when not connected to the electricity). I’ve looked through the manual and can find no mention of this? There are no lights flashing and the machine will still clean.

I’ve tried most obvious things… cleaning filters etc but wondered is it lack of salt?

    Thanks

    Most peculiar……..

When you say “not connected” – do you mean switched off on the panel, or physically unplugged from the wall?

    Ahaaaa!

I had this problem with a microwave many many moons ago (20 odd years ago) and even got technical advice from the manufacturer who eventually decided the circuit board was managing to pick up some energy from the nearby radar at Heathrow airport. 😯

Of course i discovered the real problem when i fitted the new pcb and had the self same problem…..

It turned out to be the smoke alarm still in its packet in the cupboard above, where it had been for two years and now the low battery alarm was sounding! 😆

    Hi there

It’s totally disconnected from the electricity supply. Not even plugged in. I’ve since tried pressing the programme button down for a few seconds and the 4th and 5th lights flash, they go out again when the programme button is pressed again.
