ParticipantHi all, we have a bosch dishwasher mod number SGI57M05GB, it seems to have a mind of its own, sometimes it will run through a complete cycle and mostly it runs then wont dry, shows a “1” in the time display, if we turn off then on again time goes back to 30 mins, anyone got a solution please, Steve.

Probably all bunged up Steve? If the machine actually heats up that is?
Only the ‘Auto’ cycle will be affected in this way, other progs work OK, do they? Are you putting Salt in the water softener?

Hi Martin thanks for the reply, sometimes it does not work on the other progs, so if it is intermitent, it could be all bunged up? we have never used salt to soften the water, only 3in1 tabs, whats the best method of de-bung so to speak? Steve.

bunged up it might be…some of the bosch d/w have a matrix on the left hand side which controls the water flow in. it means taking the left side panel off , but to do this you have to take the top off.UNPLUG!!!!! BEFORE YOU START. IF the d/w has been well used ..you don’t say how old it is…food waste can block the inlet matrix( sometimes called the measuring tank) and a intermittant fault caused by a low level of water will give the symptoms you describe…best of luck

Hi Richard, thanks for that reply, the d/w is about three years old and is used sometimes 2 / 3 times a day every day, evertime is starts the cycle it makes a funny noise like water pipes banging, does that seam like the matrix blocked? cheers Steve.

if you find the matrix is bunged up it is very unlikely that you will be able to clesr it then you have to replace it.

Thanks again guys for all your help, the problem was a 1″ tube which seams to fill up the d/w, well that was full of gunge so not allowing the fill process to complete, so I stripped it all down cleaned all the tubes and now it works 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} perfect, so ONCE again guys cheers, Steve.
