T.A. Thoughts

Hi ,

Well I don’t know if you guys are getting the same feeling as meself but put in a nutshell we are on our own along with the one man bands as far as the new T.A. is concerned.
It would appear that most of the multi engineer lads with all their eggs in the one basket will join but are not willing to stick their heads above the parapet.
They obviously don’t want to upset their main customers by appearing to bite the hand that feeds them, no matter how lean their diet is.

That doesn’t mean to say we don’t soldier on, it just shows us that there has to be a different feel to the T.A.

You have already seen the hype & tactics that will be used against us by the manufacturers from their mouthpieces, namely the officers at DASA

We set it up and put all our ducks in order and promote the hell out of it and eventually they will join one by one, provided we continue to fire the salvos from
UKW and show the guys how reasonable and patient the WTA is.

We have to build in member benefits, alongside a highly perceived public face, of
Maintaining high professional standards. This combined with true democracy, full and complete records of what we do and how we do it plus accountability, will win out in the end.

It will work but we cant be seen to be shooting from the hip with the WTA as we have with UKW , they are different animals.

I’ve said this before and I will say it again we have professional fence sitters amongst us who feed information both ways and that includes the A.C. They moan that nobody ever does anything but when push comes too shove their support dwindles away.

We should just do what we’ve always done and crack on and get it done anyway
We will get there but it wont be no quick fix. !

I dare say Dave wonders why we should even bother but we do need both to move the trade forward and that’s why we kicked this little lot off in the first place if I remember right.

UKW is all to often accused by it’s detractors of only being the thoughts of ‘ Chairman Ken’ instead of being what everyone thinks but is too frightened to say.

I was going to post this in the A.C. forum to shame the buggers into action but thought better of it.
